How much you put down has nothing to do with how much you lose. It has to do with how much you bring to the table." ... I am a little confused. For the sake of simplicity, let's say I put down $50k on my place and bought it for $300k. So I still owe $250k or a little less. Now if I can sell it for $250k (roughly what I owe), am I not essentially kissing good-bye to that $50k that I had put down a couple of years ago? (And is there consolation in knowing that whatever new thing I would buy would be equally depressed? That is, do I lose as a seller but gain as a buyer -- considering the upside of the new purchase?)</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7451044254506572493/8061412790892236380/comments/default/7121765604166072940'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7451044254506572493/8061412790892236380/comments/default/7121765604166072940'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://questions.franklyrealty.com/2009/03/i-wanna-move-what-is-arlington-condo.html?showComment=1238508660000#c7121765604166072940' title=''/><author><name>George</name><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img1.blogblog.com/img/blank.gif'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://questions.franklyrealty.com/2009/03/i-wanna-move-what-is-arlington-condo.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7451044254506572493.post-8061412790892236380' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7451044254506572493/posts/default/8061412790892236380' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-889380632'/></entry></feed>
